Designed to make the most of life on the west coast, Riverstone’s newest luxury display home is a contemporary, liveable space that seamlessly blends indoor-outdoor living.
With a playful yet timeless aesthetic, the striking North Beach home is built over three levels to capitalise on its coastal location.
Riverstone’s interior architect Nadia De Cerff worked closely with the clients to create a luxurious yet functional family home.
“The clients wanted to create a forever family home that could adapt to changing spatial requirements with enduring design elements and durable finishes,” Nadia explains.
“Whilst split over three levels, the design focuses more of the living space through the ground floor, providing a seamless transition between the internal and external areas.”
The bold white exterior’s clean lines with feature Hardie’s Scyon Matrix cladding and charcoal frames, are softened with Eco Outdoor stone cladding.
Steps lead to the concealed side entry through the feature timber door with herringbone pattern, opening into the ground floor and heart of the home.
“The kitchen, living and dining space is centrally located to balance views towards the coast at the front, and alfresco and pool at the back,” Nadia explains.
The kitchen is truly spectacular, with Caesarstone benchtops in fresh concrete, white cabinet doors bordered by feature timber-look cabinetry, Franke sink, and window splashback offering more natural light into the space.
The island bench is a show-stopper with feature panelling, wrapped in thick stone with a waterfall edge, and makes for the perfect place to gather around. An unobtrusive study nook with built in desk and open shelving sits to one side of the kitchen, and scullery on the other, with the colour palette beautifully matched with the terrazzo-look white matte floor tile.
The living/dining area has a feature fireplace, surrounded by custom designed and made feature cabinetry, with glazed stacking slider doors with charcoal frames opening out onto the balcony – the perfect place to capture glimpses of the coast.
The balcony is surrounded by a frameless glass balustrade with top mounted matte black handrail, and can also be accessed via the master suite – an inviting space with timber framing, walk-in robe and luxurious ensuite.
Three minor bedrooms, bathroom, activity room, laundry and powder room can also be found on the ground floor.
Inside moves outside through the alfresco leading off the kitchen, with a practical servery window off the scullery, and opening onto the backyard and pool area. The 15 metre long above ground concrete pool runs parallel to the rear of the house, topped off with the open arbor at the rear.
A second balcony overlooks the incredible backyard from the top floor, which consists of a sprawling study and doubling as another living area, with engineered oak flooring and custom designed cabinetry.
The undercroft has a large garage, storage, mudroom and wine cellar, complete with feature timber door with black metal trim – a combination that has been replicated throughout the home.
“In the study we incorporated corner window joinery to maximise the outlook, with a built-in desk to enjoy the aspect,” Nadia says.
The three levels can be accessed via the internal lift or engineered oak staircase, with black matte power coasted aluminium balustrade and handrails.
The home is the picture of luxurious yet relaxed coastal living, tailored to suit the clients in a way only possible through custom design and build.
“We worked collaboratively with the clients throughout the process, offering a full turnkey service including landscaping and furnishing.”
The home is open to view until July, 2021.
