Traditional living is at its finest in Riverstone’s newest custom-built luxury home.

The charming single-storey home has a classic design, perfect for its Mosman Park location, with a pitched tiled roof, cosy porch, rustic stone chimney and white picket fence forming the idyllic façade.

“Our clients had liked our work for a long period of time. They wanted a traditional look, we have specialised in different versions of this look since we started the company over 20 years ago.  We understand the proportions required to make this look work. Our clients had style in mind right down to the white picket fence,” Riverstone owner/director Tim Marshall explains.

“They worked closely with our design team to ensure we picked up the detail of what they were envisioning, and the result is a timeless, classic home with a warm, homely feel. A really great achievement with this home for us is if you look at the 3d colour render our designer produced at concept stage and the finished product of the home, they are almost identical. Both us and clients had the vision from the start and we worked together to create it.”

The classic design has been achieved through plenty of traditional and luxury finishes. With painted timber windows, weatherboard cladding on the gables, random-laid stone on the chimney wall and architraves bordering the front exterior windows, the look is continued inside with white shutters, decorative skirting boards, feature architraves, timber flooring and two beautiful statement archways in the entry passage and into the lounge room.

“The lounge room has a magnificent fireplace with a traditional mantle and hearth, while there is a second fireplace in the living room with floor-to-ceiling stone cladding; a stunning centrepiece of the open-plan area,” Mr Marshall says. “The detail that has gone into these special features – a lot of the these details are considered during the concept design stage."

The elongated entry passage flows from the double front doors through to the raised kitchen, dining and living area at the rear of the home.
The classic all-white, galley-style kitchen features an extended island bench finished in Caesarstone with a double half bullnose edge, with decorative flutes to the front of the cabinets. The surrounding benchtops and splashback feature Carrara quartz, and the kitchen is complete with quality appliances and a large walk-in pantry.

The living and dining areas open out to the alfresco area, complete with timber decking and white painted timber posts, while the verandah extends to the glass pool fencing.
The underground pool in the backyard makes for a picturesque outlook from the master bedroom, which also features a double-entry walk-in robe and luxurious ensuite with double vanity, stone benchtops and stand-alone bath.

Two minor bedrooms both have built-in robes and share the main bathroom, and the study is at the front of the home.

“It is a well-zoned home specifically designed to the client's requirements,” Mr Marshall says.

“The living, dining and master bedroom all opening onto the alfresco, garden and pool area, and the front yard is also a very usable outdoor area, with that beautiful sweeping verandah.”
