Custom built for the active and fun driven lifestyle of a young family, Riverstone's latest luxury build blends generous proportions with the builder's sophisticated style.

Dubbed The Horizon, after a popular Western Australian fishing beach and in honour of the owners' love of fishing, Riverstone will be opening the custom home for a short time.

"By putting the home on display we are able to show how a home can be custom designed to exactly suit a client's needs. In this case we have created a large family home centred upon family fun and entertaining," Riverstone director Paul Marshall said. "Each room in this home is generous, even the minor bedrooms."

With two young boys and a love of recreational fishing, the owners' had some very specific requirements. Listening carefully to the family's needs, Riverstone's designers created a custom home with room for the family's substantial boat, numerous over-sized activity and living space, seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas for entertaining ease, and a carefully positioned pool for family fun as well as a resort-style outlook.

Located in a leafy Woodlands street, the home has a commanding street presence. The luxury home builder's trademark natural stonework across the facade anchors the home, whilst an extended cedar-lined eave appears to float.

A deep portico to the timber and glass double front doors leads to a light-filled double height entry. Off the entry an oversized front study with seamless built in cabinetry and large corner window allows for a work from home option, whilst on the opposite side a luxury master suite provides sanctuary for parents.

The master features coffered ceiling, floor to ceiling windows and a fully-fitted walk in robe - as standard across all Riverstone's homes. The ensuite is lit by an over-sized opaque window, lighting the deep bath and double vanity with geometric tile work and mirror feature. A linear grate, another of Riverstone's standard inclusions, features in the double sized shower.

Past the spotted gum stairs, Riverstone's designers have capitalised on under-stair space with a temperature controlled wine cellar.

The custom home builders have also made the most of the north-facing alresco entertaining space, wrapping a media room as well as the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area around the area. Banks of bifold doors from both the large media/games room and the kitchen allow the spaces to be seamlessly integrated into the outdoors - perfect for entertaining family and friends.

The alfresco area, with cedar lined ceiling and outdoor kitchen, overlooks the spa and pool. Views of the pool can also be taken in from wrap-around north-facing glazing in the living space, whilst another expanse of glass doors open the living area to the backyard.

The kitchen has been designed to incorporate designer touches along with practicality. As with all Riverstone homes, drawers feature heavily in the kitchen cabinetry along with a walk-in pantry or scullery with working benchtop. Copper pendant lights above the stone island bench add a touch of glamour.

A large laundry with expansive storage and a powder room is tucked to the side of the kitchen. This is also the entry point to the over-sized double garage and enormous boat shed and store.

Behind the boat storage area is an outdoor workbench for fish cleaning and a powered workshop that blends seamlessly with the quality finishes of the home.

Upstairs a large landing seperates a guest suite with ensuite from the two minor bedrooms, both with fitted walk-in robes, and accessing a large family bathroom. A hallway leads to every kid's dream - an enormous playroom with plenty of storage and a kitchenette.
